Loft additions are great for adding a new room or two quickly and efficiently. Many California homes with high vaulted ceilings and open-to-below areas can be converted with this unique and affordable home addition.

Most of the time we're adding a new bedroom, open loft, bathroom, game room, home office, theater, even a laundry room on the second floor. Once in a while you see something rather unique and quite special. In this case the new high ceiling conversion over the living and dining rooms was converted into two rooms. The open loft space now houses a lot of railway, trains and mountains that are still in progress of developing. 

We've been doing loft additions for a long time, about twenty years. This, however, is the first time we've seen a loft conversion used in this way. All aboard!
