This Calabasas home received a major transformation that went far beyond a typical room addition. What began with a high ceiling conversion grew into a comprehensive home remodeling and renovation project that touched every part of the home.

The centerpiece of the remodel was the conversion of the existing open-to-below space above the living room. By transforming this high ceiling into a new open loft, the homeowners gained valuable additional living space within the existing footprint. A new bathroom was also added to the loft, making the space even more functional.

The remodeling project continued throughout the rest of the home. The kitchen was redesigned into an open concept kitchen, creating a more connected and functional living area. A great example is one of our current design projects in San Marcos, California.

While currently in the design phase, this home is converting its high ceiling into a grand bedroom with a walk-in closet and bathroom. Before a single wall is framed, every major decision is made with agreement with our clients and then brought to life through 3D visualization. These renderings allow the homeowners to experience the project before construction begins. They can see how the bedroom will look, how the bathroom looks next to the closet, how the windows bring in natural light, and how the new second floor integrates with the rest of the house. It's also an opportunity to refine the design. Sometimes a doorway moves. Sometimes a closet grows. Sometimes a window is adjusted. We make sure every addition is in alignment with our clients' needs.

This home is shaping up to be one of those "best of both worlds" remodeling projects!
