Dove Canyon Orange County Loft Additions We talk a lot about what kind new space you gain when we convert your high ceiling into a new room. We convert vaulted and high volume ceilings into all types of different rooms; bedrooms, home offices, game rooms, home theaters, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and so much more. What about the room below the new space? Is it going to seem low, cramped, or crowded? Well, these are not the words that homeowners use to describe the space below the new addition. We hear things like; Warm, normal, no more echo, looks like it was always suppose to be there. What helps even more is if you add a custom structural coffer ceiling. This really is the extra step that customizes the look of the room below you loft addition. This high ceiling conversion in Dove Canyon, California received a bonus room addition above and a nice coffer ceiling (aka tray ceiling) in the room below. This project shows that we added a rope lighting feature hidden behind the crown moulding to really make the new ceiling pop. BEFOREAFTERWe also added eye ball trim recessed lighting fixtures outside the perimeter of the coffer for a beautiful "art light" on a dimmer switch. When you add a room above you also have the opportunity the remodel the look and feel of the room below.
