Mission Viejo, California. Loft addition over entryway appears narrow. This high ceiling conversion shows how you should never under estimate the amount of living space that is hovering over your head. 

At first glance in the "before" picture, this hallway appears quite narrow. However, after the conversion, the use of space is highly functional as a home office within a mini home library.

The ceiling was kept higher over the entry by having a few steps up to the new functional space.
