A dormer addition is a feature we add to a high ceiling conversion when the ceiling is just not high enough. While some people settle for a loft addition with a very low portion of the room, others opt to raise the roof over a small section above the new conversion.

The cost is still less than doing a tradition one or two story addition. It is a great way to increase the ceiling height, qualify the room for more inhabitable space, and maximize the new space.
