Loft / Dormer Addition - Bedroom & Bath

When your vaulted ceiling height is just not high enough to get you the space you need, a dormer addition is the next best choice. A dormer addition combines the affordability of a loft addition with a mini raised roof section. It gives you full height ceilings over the main portion of the room. In this Rancho Santa Margarita home we built the gable dormer over the bedroom, but we were able to fit the new bathroom addition within the high section of the vault.

High vaulted ceiling in Orange County being designed for a square footage upgrade. The landing near the top of the stairs will have a new turn., a few steps up to the new open loft room and storage area.

Sometimes a little space is all you need. We did not cover the living room or dining room high ceiling space. This was a loft addition over the entry only to create a hallway mini home office loft.
