San Diego County Oceanside, California by The Loft Dog Guess how many rooms were added in this high ceiling conversion being designed for our CALOFT clients? Alongside the 360° images we released earlier for our upcoming Rancho Cordova high ceiling conversion, we’re excited to share the traditional 3D renderings as well.
This home is scheduled for transformation in 2026, where a massive open-to-below space will be converted into a new bedroom complete with a walk-in closet. It’s a smart way to add livable square footage without expanding the home’s footprint. These 3D images play a huge role in our design process. They give our clients a clear, accurate preview of their future space - showing the layout, the flow, and the added functionality. By visualizing everything before construction begins, homeowners gain confidence and peace of mind, knowing exactly what they’ll be getting. We have uploaded 3D Design images of our latest project in San Jose. These images demonstrate what we do - convert unused high ceiling space into cozy, functional rooms. In this case, we're turning that vacancy into a new open bonus room! Down in the first floor, we went ahead and got rid of the fireplace and inserted some wall niches. This way, our client can put some sentimental knick-knacks or high-class art there. Other than that, it's the usual new normalized ceiling! Click the button below to check out the updated gallery! Homes with high ceilings have a big advantage when it comes to designing and building room additions. The conversion is amazing. This San Jose home has a big space called "open-to-below" which boils down to it being a vacant lot hovering overhead. This video features the changes in a 3D timelapse fashion, Coming in 2026. In Episode 11 of our podcast, we dive into the language of real estate and how it ties directly into the value of your home after a high ceiling conversion.
We break down key terms like: ✅ After Improved Value (AIV) — what your home is worth after general upgrades or remodels. ✅ After Repaired Value (ARV) — a term often used in real estate investing to estimate a property’s value after renovations. ✅ After Converted Value (ACV) — our own term, created to describe the unique value increase that comes from a high ceiling conversion or loft addition. Each of these concepts helps homeowners and investors better understand how design, construction, and strategy affect property value. Our high ceiling conversions don’t just add square footage — they add livable space, comfort, and long-term resale potential. Whether you’re planning a profitable flip, or you simply need more room without moving, a retrofitted loft addition could be the smartest way to expand your home’s value. Rancho Cordova & San JoseExciting updates ahead!
We’re helping two California homeowners reimagine their high ceilings into beautiful new living spaces. In Rancho Cordova, a massive high ceiling is being transformed into a cozy, elegant bedroom. Over in San Jose, another high ceiling is becoming a bright new bonus room - a smart way to add livable square footage without a full addition. Both projects are in the design stage, and we’ll be sharing 3D design visuals soon! Click the buttons above to see each project’s gallery and stay tuned for the transformation! |
