What would you do with 519 square feet of unused high ceiling space?
For these homeowners, the answer was an open loft and a brand-new bedroom. Through a high ceiling conversion, we transformed their existing open-to-below space into valuable new living area without expanding the home's footprint. The open loft serves as a dedicated media room and gathering space, while the new bedroom provides additional room for their growing family. Our architectural design team used 3D renderings to help the homeowners visualize the transformation before construction, and the CALOFT construction team brought the design to life. The remodel also included a custom coffered ceiling downstairs, complete with a deep blue accent that adds character and ties the entire transformation together. 519 square feet of new space, two new rooms, and a completely transformed home... all without building outward!
